Saddle Liners and Lateral Lining
State of the Art Lateral Rehabilitation Solutions
SWERP Incorporated offers cured in place lateral pipeliners that can be installed from the mainline sewer as well as from a sewer cleanout. When a full length lateral liner is not required, we also offer a lateral connection liner that can extend from 12 inches to 10 feet up the lateral. Lateral connection liners are specifically designed to seal and reinforce the lateral to mainline sewer connection which is especially susceptible to groundwater infiltration.
From Root Intrusion to Reinforced Connections: Saddle Liners and Lateral Lining Solutions
How It Works
The Saddle Liner process begins with identifying and accessing the damaged junction. A specially designed bladder assembly is inserted into the pipeline and positioned precisely at the defective area. Here's a step-by-step overview:
- Bladder Placement: The assembly is pulled into position at the junction and connected to an air compressor.
- Inflation: The main line bladder is inflated to conform to the existing pipe. Then, the lateral bladder is inflated to extend into the lateral pipe.
- Curing: Once the liner is fully expanded, the assembly is left in place to cure—forming a strong, seamless bond at the junction.
- Removal: After curing, the bladders are deflated and removed, leaving a fully repaired, watertight pipe connection.
